Information About MRCGP RCA Course
A total of 13 actual patient consultations with GP trainees and their consenting patients must be submitted for evaluation. These can be recorded in a GP office or at home and can take the form of phone calls, videos, or in-person consultations. Changes to the RCA will take effect on the September 2021 diet. The RCA will stay in place to give time for the new MRCGP RCA Course performance assessment module to be developed. They have considered the opinions of applicants, general practitioners, the training community at large, and other interested parties. They are revising the RCA in light of this feedback and the helpful suggestions made by MRCGP Examiners (who are also working general practitioners) based on their views of submitted consultations. The September 2021 eating plan filing deadline will trigger their use.
